Welcome to the RGPSA Training Management System (TMS) online portal.
Doctors in training: Through the portal, doctors training in rural South Australia will be able to sign up to the RGPSA, apply for grants and scholarships, verify their information held by the RGPSA, provide placement evaluations and confirm their rural placements undertaken while training in rural. This includes:
- Medical students in the last two years of medical school who are interested in pursuing a rural generalist career and transition to rural training
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander medical students at any level who are interested in exploring the rural generalist pathway and transition to rural training
- Junior doctors, TMOs and registrars on the rural generalist pathway or wanting to explore the rural generalist pathway
- Fellowed GPs wanting to train to be a rural generalist
The data collected from doctors training on the rural pathway through the portal informs the RGPSA and National Rural Generalist Pathway through the Commonwealth Government’s Department of Health. This data assist in national and State health workforce planning initiatives by tracking trainees coming through the training pipeline. Doctors in training will be asked to consent to sharing their data with the Commonwealth Government through the sign-up process. Consent to share your data with either ACRRM or RACGP will also be sought where it supports your training journey.
Regional local health networks and primary care clinics can also use the portal to apply and manage Rural Procedural Consolidation Term Grants supporting their rural doctors to consolidate skills following Advanced Specialised Training with the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM) and/or Additional Rural Skills Training with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP).
We invite our doctors to test our new online portal and send us your feedback. This is a new system and we are bound to have a few bugs, so please let us know if you have any issues and how you found the experience. Send all feedback and incidences to health.SARuralGeneralistTraining@sa.gov.au
